Who we are

ObeyMe ("ObeyMe", "we", "us") is operated by Slate & Signal LLC, 4030 Wake Forest Road, Suite 349, Raleigh, NC 27609. This policy explains what we collect when you use the ObeyMe mobile app and obeymeapp.com, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.

Questions, requests, or complaints: admin@obeymeapp.com.

Age requirement

ObeyMe is for adults aged 18 and over. The app requires you to confirm you are 18 or older before you see any content. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete the account and its data.

What we collect

Account information. Your email address and a securely hashed password, handled by our authentication provider. We never store your password in readable form.

Profile information. Your username, display name, optional bio, optional profile photo, timezone, and the time you were last active in the app.

Your dynamic with your partner. ObeyMe exists to hold the structure the two of you agree on, so most of what we store is content you deliberately create together:

Purchase information. If you subscribe, Apple processes the payment. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and history through our subscription provider. We never see or store your card number.

Device and technical information. A push notification token if you enable notifications, and limited security records such as rate-limiting attempts used to prevent abuse.

Safety and moderation records. If you report a user or a message, or block someone, we keep a record of that report or block so we can act on it and prevent repeat harm.

If you contact us or join the waitlist. Your email address, and any name or message you send us.

Sensitive information, and the consent that covers it

Some of what ObeyMe stores reveals information about your sex life. Chastity records, intimate activity logs, check-in responses, and the content of your messages can all fall into this category. Under the UK and EU GDPR this is "special category" data and gets extra protection.

We process this information only with your explicit consent, which you give by choosing to create this content in the app. You are never required to log intimate activity, use chastity tracking, or answer any check-in. Those features are optional, and you can stop using them or delete what you have recorded at any time.

You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting the relevant content or your account. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.

How we use your information

We use it to operate the app and nothing more surprising than that:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to serve advertising, and we do not use it to train machine learning models.

Our legal bases (UK and EU users)

What your partner can see

ObeyMe pairs exactly two people. Your paired partner can see the content you create inside your shared partnership: messages, tasks and proof, check-in responses, rulebook, chastity records, points, and activity history. Some visibility depends on the roles and permissions the two of you have set.

Please treat anything you put into a partnership as visible to your partner. If a partnership ends, we retain the shared history for the account that created it unless you delete your account.

Who we share information with

We share only with the service providers that make the app work, and only so they can perform that service for us:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. If our business is ever transferred, your information may transfer with it, and we will tell you before that happens.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access rules in our database restrict each record to the account and partnership it belongs to. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never visible to us. No system is perfectly secure, so we also give you tools that limit exposure: reporting, blocking, and full account deletion.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and content within 30 days, and backups containing it are purged within 90 days.

We may keep a minimal record for longer where we must: safety and moderation reports, and anything we are legally required to retain.

Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we will never treat you differently for exercising a right.

You can delete your account and its data yourself from inside the app, under Settings. To make any other request, email admin@obeymeapp.com. We respond within 30 days.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process your information there and elsewhere. Where we transfer personal data out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies and tracking

obeymeapp.com uses no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. The app contains no advertising SDKs and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
